2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Telecommunication Line Tapping Act is |
5 | | amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
|

7 | | Sec. 1.
Any person who shall within this state wrongfully |
8 | | tap or connect a wire
with the
the telegraph or telephone wires |
9 | | of any person, company or association
engaged in the |
10 | | transmission of news or telegraph or telephone lines between
|
11 | | the states or in this state for the purpose of wrongfully |
12 | | taking or making
use of the news dispatches of such person, |
13 | | company or association, or of
its customers, shall be deemed |
14 | | guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. |
