SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates funding from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education to be used as grants to Chicago Public Schools for fiscal year 2020. Effective July 1, 2019.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $215,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education to be used as grants to Chicago Public Schools for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2019.
