SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Albert D. "Albie" DeFauw of East Moline
4who passed away on November 16, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Albert DeFauw was born in Moline to Rose DeFauw
6Kindhart on April 10, 1935; he served in the Naval Reserves; he
7married Elaine M. Marlier in Moline on April 20, 1956; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Albert DeFauw worked as an electrician with ALCOA
9and retired in 1994; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Albert DeFauw was known as a handyman who could
11fix just about anything, and he was always lending his time to
12help others; he and his wife enjoyed traveling; he was a member
13of the Geneseo Country Club and an avid golfer with a
14hole-in-one to his name; he was a bowler who, at the age of 78,
15bowled a 300 game; he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and
16the Chicago Bears; he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's
17activities; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Albert DeFauw is survived by his wife, Elaine; his
19daughter, Arlyce (James) Logan; his sons, Dan (Nikki) DeFauw
20and David DeFauw; his grandchildren, Alecia (Ryan) Burns, Lance
21Logan, Mitchell (Nicole) DeFauw, Kyle DeFauw, Jared DeFauw, and

1Hannah DeFauw; his brother, Adolph (Teresa) DeFauw; and his
2sister, Mary (Harold) Smith; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Albert D. "Albie" DeFauw and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Albert DeFauw as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
