2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Rosemary Wagner of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, |
4 | | formerly of Crystal Lake, who passed away on December 6, 2017; |
5 | | and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner was born in Greenville to Mae and |
7 | | Tollie Thomas on October 10, 1929; she graduated from the |
8 | | University of Illinois and later earned her Master's Degree in |
9 | | Library Science at Northern Illinois University; she married |
10 | | Francis "Wag" Wagner on December 24, 1950; after being widowed |
11 | | for several years, she married Roger Fanter in June 2010; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner worked as a Librarian and Library |
13 | | Director at Cary Grove High School for over 20 years; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner was a member of The American |
15 | | Association of University Women; she was an avid reader and |
16 | | book lover; she led several book clubs; she sang in the choir |
17 | | at First United Methodist Church and was a frequent volunteer |
18 | | at the Crystal Lake Public Library and Meals on Wheels; she was |
19 | | an enthusiastic bridge player, and adventurous traveler, and a |
20 | | lover of life; she treasured her family above all else; and
|
21 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner was preceded in death by her |

1 | | husband, Francis; her parents; and her sister, Virginia Cline; |
2 | | and
|
3 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner is survived by her husband, Roger; |
4 | | her children, Barb (Marc) Wittenberg, Jim Wagner, Lou Ann (Bob) |
5 | | Churchill, Kathy (Mark) Holsapple, and Ken (Lauren) Wagner; her |
6 | | grandchildren, Joe Wittenberg, Josh (Meg) Wittenberg, Drew |
7 | | Wittenberg, Becky Wagner, Kelly (Dan) Laszlo, John Wold, |
8 | | Kristen, Patrick, and Nick Holsapple, and Alex (Amanda) Wagner |
9 | | and Erin Wagner; her great-grandchildren, Peyton, Marc, and |
10 | | Wesley Wittenberg, and Lilly Laszlo; her brother, William |
11 | | (Sally Ann) Thomas; and her many other relatives and friends; |
12 | | therefore, be it

13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
15 | | Rosemary Wagner and extend our sincere condolences to her |
16 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
17 | | further

18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
19 | | presented to the family of Rosemary Wagner as an expression of |
