SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rosemary Wagner of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin,
4formerly of Crystal Lake, who passed away on December 6, 2017;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner was born in Greenville to Mae and
7Tollie Thomas on October 10, 1929; she graduated from the
8University of Illinois and later earned her Master's Degree in
9Library Science at Northern Illinois University; she married
10Francis "Wag" Wagner on December 24, 1950; after being widowed
11for several years, she married Roger Fanter in June 2010; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner worked as a Librarian and Library
13Director at Cary Grove High School for over 20 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner was a member of The American
15Association of University Women; she was an avid reader and
16book lover; she led several book clubs; she sang in the choir
17at First United Methodist Church and was a frequent volunteer
18at the Crystal Lake Public Library and Meals on Wheels; she was
19an enthusiastic bridge player, and adventurous traveler, and a
20lover of life; she treasured her family above all else; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner was preceded in death by her

1husband, Francis; her parents; and her sister, Virginia Cline;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Rosemary Wagner is survived by her husband, Roger;
4her children, Barb (Marc) Wittenberg, Jim Wagner, Lou Ann (Bob)
5Churchill, Kathy (Mark) Holsapple, and Ken (Lauren) Wagner; her
6grandchildren, Joe Wittenberg, Josh (Meg) Wittenberg, Drew
7Wittenberg, Becky Wagner, Kelly (Dan) Laszlo, John Wold,
8Kristen, Patrick, and Nick Holsapple, and Alex (Amanda) Wagner
9and Erin Wagner; her great-grandchildren, Peyton, Marc, and
10Wesley Wittenberg, and Lilly Laszlo; her brother, William
11(Sally Ann) Thomas; and her many other relatives and friends;
12therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Rosemary Wagner and extend our sincere condolences to her
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Rosemary Wagner as an expression of
20our deepest sympathy.
