2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Robert E. Boyle of McHenry, who passed |
4 | | away on June 26, 2017; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Boyle was born in Woodstock to Edwin Boyle |
6 | | and Marian (Gielow) Meyers on July 1, 1942; he married Georgia |
7 | | Manning in St. Patrick Church in McHenry on February 4, 1967; |
8 | | and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Robert Boyle started his career as a teen in the |
10 | | panel board department at Jemison Electric in Crystal Lake and |
11 | | worked there for 32 years; after its closing, he worked for |
12 | | Kinney Electric in Elgin for 26 years; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Robert Boyle enjoyed hunting and was an avid |
14 | | fisherman; he was a collector and enjoyed going to flea markets |
15 | | and bringing home his treasures; he especially loved the wooden |
16 | | animals his friend made; he enjoyed spending time at his home |
17 | | in Wisconsin; he took meticulous care of his home and |
18 | | everything he owned; he always wanted to be surrounded with the |
19 | | laughter of grandchildren and held many family gatherings at |
20 | | his home; and

21 | | WHEREAS, Robert Boyle was preceded in death by his parents; |

1 | | his Grandma Gielow; his stepfathers, John Milke and Bill |
2 | | Meyers; his in-laws, George and Harriet Manning; his dear |
3 | | niece, Cathy Knor; and his cousin, Jerry Boyle; and

4 | | WHEREAS, Robert Boyle is survived by his wife of 50 years, |
5 | | Georgia; his children, Sherri Boyle, Kelly (James) Irwin, and |
6 | | Mike Boyle; his son-in-law, Tim Pankiewicz; his grandchildren, |
7 | | Trevor Pankiewicz, Kalei Pankiewicz, Rachel Irwin, and Delia |
8 | | Irwin; his brothers, Jimmy Milke and Randy Meyers; his brother |
9 | | and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (the late Jack) Willnecker, |
10 | | Annemae (the late Stanley) Lezon, Carole (the late Tony) Knor, |
11 | | and George (Linda) Manning; and many nieces and nephews; |
12 | | therefore, be it

13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
15 | | Robert E. Boyle, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
16 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
17 | | further

18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
19 | | presented to the family of Robert Boyle as an expression of our |
20 | | deepest sympathy.
