2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Brian K. Lee of McHenry, who passed away |
4 | | on June 13, 2017; and |
5 | | WHEREAS, Brian Lee was born in Chicago to Garth and Elsie |
6 | | (Leire) Lee on July 20, 1947; he graduated from Dundee High |
7 | | School in 1965; he earned his bachelor's degree in industrial |
8 | | technology from Southern Illinois University and his master's |
9 | | degree in business administration from the Lake Forest Graduate |
10 | | School of Management; he married Britt Jacobsen on August 10, |
11 | | 1968; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Brian Lee worked at AptarGroup, Inc. as the |
13 | | Director of Purchasing for 27 years; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Brian Lee was a very caring and generous person, |
15 | | who was always willing to help anyone in need; he was a fan of |
16 | | the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs; he also enjoyed playing |
17 | | the guitar, reading, traveling, fishing, and spending time with |
18 | | his brother, Nolen; he will be missed by many dear friends and |
19 | | family; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Brian Lee was a member of the Moose Lodge in |
21 | | Woodstock and Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he played in the |
|

1 | | band; and
|
2 | | WHEREAS, Brian Lee was preceded in death by his parents; |
3 | | his in-laws, Randi (Solem) Jacobsen and Johan Jacobsen; and his |
4 | | twin grandchildren, Benjamin and Sarah Brinkman; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Brian Lee is survived by his wife, Britt; his |
6 | | daughter, Elsa (Dan) Brinkman; his twin granddaughters, Madie |
7 | | and Caity Brinkman; his brother, Nolen (Juanita) Lee; his |
8 | | brother-in-law, Bjorn Jacobsen (Marit); his stepmother, Lil |
9 | | Lee; his nieces and nephews, Kasey Lee (Tom Mathews), Dana |
10 | | Masur (Andy and Freya), Travis Lee (Amy, Cerise, Mykel, Fisher, |
11 | | and Coleman), Mina Lundborg (Marius and Lilly Sofie), and H kon |
12 | | Jacobsen; and his step-siblings, Mary Beth Mackey, Janet (Mike) |
13 | | John, Otto Dwayne (Candy) Lee, and David Lee; therefore, be it

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
16 | | Brian K. Lee, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, |
17 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further |
18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
19 | | presented to the family of Brian Lee as an expression of our |
20 | | deepest sympathy.
