| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Automotive Repair Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 17 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (815 ILCS 306/17 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 17. Disclosure; posting of prices. An automotive |
| 8 | | repair facility shall post in each area of its premises where |
| 9 | | customers place work orders the following information: |
| 10 | | (1) the hourly charge for labor; |
| 11 | | (2) the charges and conditions under which the facility |
| 12 | | may impose charges for storage; |
| 13 | | (3) prices for commonly used repair parts; and |
| 14 | | (4) the charge for diagnosis of malfunctions.
