HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Oakton Community 
4College baseball team, the Owls, on winning the 2018 National 
5Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III World 
6Series on June 1, 2018; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Owls made their first trip to the NJCAA 
8Division III World Series in Greenville, Tennessee and defeated 
9the four-time defending champions, Tyler Junior College 
10(Texas); and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Owls came out on top in a thrilling 13-inning 
12contest by a score of 14 to 11; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The Owls compiled a season record of 44 wins and 
1417 losses on their path to the championship; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, The Owls are coached by Head Coach Bill Fratto; 
16the assistant head coach is John Guarnaccia; the pitching coach 
17is Lars Ligouri; the hitting coach is Michael Scala; the 
18assistant coaches are Max Reising, Ryan Tuntland, and Andrew 
19Korosic; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, The Owls are Timo Schau, Jeff Mustari, Nico

12congratulate the Oakton Community College baseball team, the 
13Owls, on winning the 2018 National Junior College Athletic 
14Association Division III World Series; and be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to the Owls as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
