HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Janet S. Stover on the 
4occasion of her retirement as President and CEO from the 
5Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (IARF) on 
6March 31, 2018; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover has served in multiple positions 
8and capacities with the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation 
9Facilities since its formation in November 1975, including as a 
10volunteer and Associate Executive Director; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover was named President and CEO of the 
12Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities in April 
132000 and has led the organization for the past 18 years; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover was inducted into the American 
15Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) Foundation 
16Legacy Leaders Circle; the ANCOR Foundation Legacy Leaders 
17Circle celebrates the accomplishments of the men and women who 
18have paved the way to life in the community for people with 
19disabilities; they are visionary leaders who have made 
20meaningful community participation a reality for thousands of 
21individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities 
22over the years; and

1    WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover founded the IARfuture Leadership 
2initiative in 2016, a one-of-a-kind program designed to 
3develop, train, and strengthen future generations of leaders 
4working in not-for-profit social service agencies; since the 
5initiative was started, 40 individuals with a range of 
6experiences have graduated the program; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Janet S. Stover has provided exceptional 
8leadership on behalf of the Illinois Association of 
9Rehabilitation facilities; during her tenure, she has worked 
10with government and stakeholders to advance high quality, 
11community-based services and supports for children and adults 
12with intellectual and developmental disabilities and serious 
13mental illnesses; therefore, be it
  
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
15HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that 
16we recognize Janet S. Stover on her retirement as President and 
17CEO from the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation 
18Facilities, and we wish her the best in all of her future 
19endeavors; and be it further
  
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
21presented to Janet S. Stover as an expression of our esteem and 
22respect.
