HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Michael J. "Mickey"
Goral 
4for his years of service as Rockford Township Supervisor; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Goral is a lifelong Rockford resident and 
6has served the more than 175,000 residents of
Rockford Township 
7for 20 years as supervisor, ensuring that families across the 
8community received
access to critically needed assistance; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, During Michael Goral's years of service within 
10Winnebago County, he was Chairman of
the Forest Preserve 
11Executive Committee, Chairman of the Committee for 
12Re-organization of County
Government, and Vice-Chairman of the 
13Finance Committee; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Michael Goral served with distinction as a member 
15of the Township Officials of Illinois, the
Township Supervisors 
16of Illinois, the National Association of Towns and
Townships, 
17the General Assistance Training Institute, the Rockford Health 
18Council, the Workforce
Development and Welfare Reform Task 
19Force, the Federal Emergency Management Agency Board, the
City 
20of Rockford Condemnation Task Force, the Mayor's Homeless Task 
21Force, the Welfare Services
Committee, the Winnebago County 
22Public Aid Committee, the Rockford Red Cross Homeless Providers

1Committee, the Rockford United Way Campaign Cabinet Committee, 
2the Greater Rockford Airport
Planning Advisory Committee, and 
3the State of Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Michael Goral is a graduate of Boylan Catholic 
5High School; he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political

6Science/Sociology from Northern Illinois University; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Michael Goral and his wife, Tami, have  twin 
8daughters, Karley and Kiley; therefore, be it
  
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
10HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
11congratulate Michael J. "Mickey"
Goral on his dedication to the 
12people of Rockford Township, the
City of Rockford, and 
13Winnebago County, and we wish him the best in all his future 
14endeavors; and be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to Michael Goral as an expression of our
esteem and 
17respect.
