HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Johns Hill Magnet 
4School eighth grade boys basketball team, the Eagles,  on 
5winning the 2017 Illinois Elementary School Association Class 
62A State Championship; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Eagles defeated Jesse White Learning Academy 
8by a score of 75 to 55 to claim the championship; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, This was the first trip ever to the State 
10Tournament for the Eagles; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Eagles compiled a season record of 24 wins and 
12zero losses; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The Eagles are coached by Head Coach Jason 
14Flournoy and Assistant Coach Wallace Green; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, The Eagles are Aaron Dabner,
Jabryn Anderson,

16Dekglen DeJaynes, Brylan Phillips,
Jayvion Grier,
Savion Hill,

17Carl Dickerson,
Nicholaus Spannaus,
Ryan Bartley,
and Rodney 
18Walker Jr.; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate the Johns Hill Magnet School eighth grade boys 
3basketball team, the Eagles,  on winning the 2017 Illinois 
4Elementary School Association Class 2A State Championship, and 
5we wish them many more successful years; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
7presented to the Eagles as an expression of our esteem and 
8respect.
