| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Steven |
| 4 | | Ross Sr.; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was born in Chicago to
Lucilla |
| 6 | | Ross and Aubrey Sanders on August 31, 1966; he attended West |
| 7 | | Pullman Elementary School and Percy L. Julian High School; he |
| 8 | | completed the criminal justice program at Truman College and |
| 9 | | married Jenetta Ross; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. owned and operated Ross Family |
| 11 | | Photography & Videography for over 20 years; he also worked at |
| 12 | | Supreme Security; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. served at Original Holy Ark M.B. |
| 14 | | Church for over 20 years; he sang in the Sunshine Choir, |
| 15 | | Inspirations, and the Voices Choir; he was part of the men's |
| 16 | | ministry, the marriage ministry, and the media ministry; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. and his wife also served at Living |
| 18 | | Word Christian Center; his wife took a position as Pastor at |
| 19 | | God's Healing Place Ministry and he accompanied her, where he |
| 20 | | served as Executive Pastor and Elder; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was affectionately known as "Big |
| 2 | | Baby" and "Picture Man"; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was preceded in death by his |
| 4 | | father, Aubrey Sanders; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. is survived by his wife, Pastor |
| 6 | | Jenetta; his daughter, Jenell; his son, Steven Jr.; his mother, |
| 7 | | Lucilla; his siblings, Charon, Sonja, Mark, Kimberly, |
| 8 | | Patricia, Nicole, Alex Jr., Cherise, and NaKita; a host of |
| 9 | | nieces, nephews, and cousins; his godchildren, Deetta, Amanda, |
| 10 | | and Saniyyah; and many other family and friends; therefore, be |
| 11 | | it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 13 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 14 | | mourn the passing of Steven Ross Sr., and extend our sincere |
| 15 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
| 16 | | him; and be it further

| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 | | presented to the family of Steven Ross Sr. as an expression of |
| 19 | | our deepest sympathy.
