2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Linda | ||||||
4 | Cheri Threatt, who passed away on January 23, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Linda Threatt was born in Chicago to Macio and | ||||||
6 | Betty Dunson on November 29, 1953; she attended Guggenheim | ||||||
7 | Elementary School, Bond Upper Grade Center, and Calumet High | ||||||
8 | School; she earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from | ||||||
9 | Chicago State University and married Reginald Latrell Threatt | ||||||
10 | on August 9, 1975; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Linda Threatt began her career at
St. Francis | ||||||
12 | Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, where she worked as a | ||||||
13 | nursing assistant; she then worked as an accounting manager at | ||||||
14 | Chicago Lake Shore and at Professional Home Care Advantage as | ||||||
15 | an office manager; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Linda Threatt was affectionately known as Lyn, 41, | ||||||
17 | Boo, Boo Boo Love, Little Rita, Big Lyn,
and Auntie; she was a | ||||||
18 | member of St. James AME Church; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Linda Threatt was preceded in death by her father, | ||||||
20 | Macio; and

1 | WHEREAS, Linda Threatt is survived by her husband, Reggie; | ||||||
2 | her mother, Betty; her sisters, Sharmaine (Ben) White, Lorna | ||||||
3 | (Henry) Smith, Marcia (Kenny) Smith, Tina Gilbert, Tonya | ||||||
4 | Carter, and Stephanie Carter; her brother, Macio Jr. (Yvonne); | ||||||
5 | her brothers-in-law,
Sherman Threatt, Tyrone (Debra) Threatt, | ||||||
6 | and Chavez (Desiree) Threatt; and a host of nieces, nephews, | ||||||
7 | god-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends; | ||||||
8 | therefore, be it

9 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
10 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
11 | mourn the passing of Linda Cheri Threatt, and extend our | ||||||
12 | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
13 | and loved her; and be it further
