HOUSE RESOLUTION


  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize the 70th anniversary of the 
4founding of Caritas Family Solutions; and
 

5    WHEREAS, Caritas Family Solutions was founded in 1947 as an 
6agency of the Catholic Diocese of
Belleville; and
 

7    WHEREAS, Caritas Family Solutions initially provided 
8support for Catholic Immigrants who
settled in the diocese; and
 

9    WHEREAS, Caritas Family Solutions has expanded to provide 
10social services to meet the social
and emotional needs of 
11people from all backgrounds throughout Central and Southern 
12Illinois; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Caritas Family Solutions has expanded from humble 
14beginnings as a small
organization with one office to four 
15regional offices serving Central and Southern Illinois; and
 
16    WHEREAS, In 1992, Caritas Family Solutions opened the St. 
17John Bosco Children's Center in
Belleville to serve abused or 
18neglected children through a short-term residential treatment

1    WHEREAS, In 2006, Caritas Family Solutions added the 
2management of Fox River Assisted Living
Center in Olney; and
 
3    WHEREAS, In 2014, Caritas Family Solutions opened its first 
4Community Integrated Living
Arrangement for developmentally 
5disabled adults; and
 

6    WHEREAS, Caritas Family Solutions continues to serve the 
7communities of Southern and Central
Illinois; therefore, be it
 

8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
9HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
10recognize Caritas Family Solutions on their  70th anniversary 
11and we wish them continued success and prosperity in the 
12future; and be it further
 

13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Caritas Family Solutions as a
symbol of our esteem 
15and respect.
