SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Makes appropriations from the School Infrastructure Fund to the State Board of Education for school district broadband expansion. Effective July 1, 2018.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $16,300,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the School Infrastructure Fund to the State Board of Education for school district broadband expansion with the goal that all school districts achieve broadband capability by the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2018.
