SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Human Rights Commission for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018, as follows:

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
ARTICLE 1
Section 1. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Human Rights Commission for operational expenses of the Commission.
Section 5. The sum of $400,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Human Rights Commission for the Illinois Torture Inquiry Relief Commission.
Section 99. Effective Date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2018. Notwithstanding anything in this Act to the contrary, appropriations authorized in this Act shall be used for all costs incurred prior to July 1, 2019.
