SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
    Authorizes the Department of Natural Resources to make certain real estate conveyances in Bureau County, Menard County, and Pulaski County, subject to specified conditions. Authorizes the Department of Transportation to make certain real estate conveyances in Grundy County, DuPage County, DeKalb County, Montgomery County, Tazewell County, and Mason County, subject to specified conditions. Effective immediately.

2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:

Article 5. Department of Natural Resources.

 
5    Section 5-5. (a) The Director of the Department of Natural
6Resources, on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to
7execute and deliver to Hall Township, a unit of local
8government organized and existing under the laws of this State,
9of Bureau County, for and in consideration of $1 paid to the

13    Section 5-10. (a) The Director of the Department of Natural
14Resources, on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to
15execute and deliver to Menard County, a unit of local
16government organized and existing under the laws of this State,
17for and in consideration of $1 paid to the Department, a
18quitclaim deed to the following described real property:
 
19    All that portion of the right of way and appurtenances of
20    the abandoned portion of the Madison Subdivision of Union
21    Pacific Railroad Company (formerly the Chicago and North
22    Western Transportation Company), now known as the Sangamon
23    Valley Trail Bikeway, described as Beginning at the South
24    line of Section 18, Township 17 North, Range 5 West of the

2    direction along the centerline of said abandoned railroad

23        The North 106 feet of the following described tract of

4    (b) The transaction under this Section will be to the
5mutual advantages of both parties. Each party shall be
6responsible for any and all title costs associated with their
7respective properties.
8    (c) The conveyance of Parcel 1 as authorized by this
9Section shall be made subject to existing public utilities,
10existing public roads, and any and all reservations, easements,
11encumbrances, covenants, and restrictions of record.
12    (d) The Director of the Department of Natural Resources
13shall obtain an opinion of title from the Attorney General
14certifying that the State of Illinois will receive merchantable
15title to the real property in this Section referred to as
16Parcel 2.
 
17    Section 5-20. The Director of Natural Resources shall
18obtain a certified copy of the portions of this Act containing
19the title, the enacting clause, the effective date, the
20appropriate Section or Sections containing the land
21descriptions of the property to be conveyed, and this Section
22within 60 days after its effective date and, upon receipt of
23the payment required by the Section or Sections, if any payment
24is required, shall record the certified document in the
25Recorder's Office in the county in which the land is located.

2    Section 10-5. Upon the payment of the sum of $3,900 to the
3State of Illinois, and subject to the condition set forth in

13descriptions of the property interest to be conveyed, and this
14Section within 60 days after its effective date and, upon
15receipt of the payment required by the Section or Sections, if
16any payment is required, shall record the certified document in
17the Recorder's Office in the county in which the land is
18located.
