Amends the School Code. Provides that any school district that has a local chapter of the National FFA Organization shall permit a pupil that is enrolled in a nonpublic school to participate in the school district's chapter without requiring part-time attendance if the student resides within the boundaries of the school district. Provides that the school district shall obtain authorization from the pupil's parent or guardian before the pupil may participate in the chapter. Provides that the school district may charge the pupil's parent or guardian a fee, subject to determination by the school district, to cover the costs associated with the pupil's participation in the chapter. Effective immediately.

| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 10-20.24 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 10-20.24. Part-time Attendance. To accept in |
| 8 | | part-time attendance
in the regular education program of the |
| 9 | | district pupils enrolled in nonpublic
schools if there is |
| 10 | | sufficient space in the public school desired to be
attended. |
| 11 | | Request for attendance in the following school year must be
|
| 12 | | submitted by the nonpublic school principal to the public |
| 13 | | school before
May 1. Request may be made only to those public |
| 14 | | schools located in the
district where the child attending the |
| 15 | | nonpublic school resides.

| 16 | | To accept, pursuant to the provisions of Section 14-6.01, |
| 17 | | in part-time
attendance resident pupils of the types described |
| 18 | | in Sections 14-1.02 through
14-1.07 who are enrolled in |
| 19 | | nonpublic schools.
