Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that the Director of Juvenile Justice and the Director of Corrections shall make quarterly reports to the Governor and the General Assembly concerning each incident of assault by a committed person toward Department of Juvenile Justice or Department of Corrections staff. Provides that these reports shall specify the facility where the incident occurred, the classification of offender that committed the assault, and the
nature of the injury to the staff member, if any. Provides that the Director of Juvenile Justice and the Director of Corrections shall make quarterly reports to the Governor and the General Assembly concerning the use
of force incidents administered by Department staff on persons committed to the Department. Provides that the
reports shall specify the facility where the incident occurred, the classification of the offender that was the
recipient of the use of force, and the nature of the injury, if any.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by |
5 | | changing Sections 3-2.5-61 and 3-5-3 as follows: |
6 | | (730 ILCS 5/3-2.5-61) |
7 | | Sec. 3-2.5-61. Annual and other reports. |
8 | | (a) The Director shall make an annual report to the |
9 | | Governor and General Assembly concerning persons committed to |
10 | | the Department, its institutions, facilities, and programs, of |
11 | | all moneys expended and received, and on what accounts expended |
12 | | and received no later than January 1 of each year. The report |
13 | | shall include the ethnic and racial background data, not |
14 | | identifiable to an individual, of all persons committed to the |
15 | | Department, its institutions, facilities, programs, and |
16 | | outcome measures established with the Juvenile Advisory Board. |
17 | | (b) The Department of Juvenile Justice shall, by January 1, |
18 | | April 1, July 1, and October 1 of each year, transmit to the |
19 | | Governor and General Assembly, a report which shall include the |
20 | | following information: |
21 | | (1) the number of youth in each of the Department's |
22 | | facilities and the number of youth on aftercare; |
23 | | (2) the demographics of sex, age, race and ethnicity, |
