Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Provides that on and after the effective date of the amendatory Act, no State agency shall enter into or renew a contract with a business under this Code unless the contract declares that the business is not boycotting any jurisdiction with which the State of Illinois is not prohibited by law from doing business with or investing in, including Israel, and will not do so during the term of the contract. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by |
5 | | adding Section 50-36.5 as follows: |
6 | | (30 ILCS 500/50-36.5 new) |
7 | | Sec. 50-36.5. Prohibition on contracts with businesses |
8 | | that boycott certain jurisdictions. On or after the effective |
9 | | date of this amendatory Act of the 100th General Assembly, no |
10 | | State agency shall enter into or renew a contract with a |
11 | | business under this Code unless the contract declares that the |
12 | | business is not boycotting any jurisdiction with which the |
13 | | State of Illinois is not prohibited by law from doing business |
14 | | with or investing in, including Israel, and will not do so |
15 | | during the term of the contract.

16 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
17 | | becoming law.
