Amends the Arts Council Act. Authorizes the Illinois Arts Council to provide grants for public broadcasting programs from amounts appropriated for that purpose. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Arts Council Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 4.7 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 3915/4.7 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 4.7. Public broadcasting program grants. The Illinois |
| 8 | | Arts Council is authorized to provide grants for public |
| 9 | | broadcasting programs from amounts appropriated for that |
| 10 | | purpose.

| 11 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 12 | | becoming law.
