2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3521 on page 1, by 
3replacing lines 6 through 8 with the following:

8by replacing lines 9 through 22 of page 1 and lines 1 through 3 
9of page 2 with the following:


 
10    "(60 ILCS 1/50-32 new)
11    Sec. 50-32. Sangamon County township collectors.
12    (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Article, 
13the offices of township collector in Sangamon County are 
14discontinued on January 1, 2022. On January 1, 2022, the 
15Sangamon County Treasurer assumes the duties of each township

1collector in Sangamon County.
2    (b)   If a township collector's office becomes  vacant in 
3Sangamon County before January 1, 2022, the vacancy may not be 
4filled and the Sangamon County Treasurer shall assume the
