Amends the Juvenile Drug Treatment Act. Provides that the drug court treatment program may also, subject to the approval of the Chief Judge of the Circuit, establish a program for electronic monitoring of juveniles with regard to drug-related and alcohol-related offenses. Effective immediately.

1 | | AN ACT concerning courts.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Juvenile Drug Court Treatment Act is amended |
5 | | by adding Section 40 as follows: |
6 | | (705 ILCS 410/40 new) |
7 | | Sec. 40. Electronic monitoring. The drug court program may |
8 | | also, subject to the approval of the Chief Judge of the |
9 | | Circuit, establish a program for electronic monitoring of |
10 | | juveniles with regard to drug-related and alcohol-related |
11 | | offenses.

12 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
13 | | becoming law.
