| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2859, on page 2, |
| 3 | | immediately below line 6, by inserting the following:

| 4 | | "Second chance felon" means a person who is currently |
| 5 | | serving second chance probation or has fulfilled the terms and |
| 6 | | conditions of second chance probation under Section 5-6-3.4 of |
| 7 | | the Unified Code of Corrections."; and

| 8 | | on page 4, immediately below line 1, by inserting the |
| 9 | | following:
|
| 10 | | "(e-3) In employment and appointments to fill positions in |
| 11 | | the projects created under paragraphs (1) and (2) of subsection |
| 12 | | (c), preference shall be given to qualified applicants who are |
| 13 | | disadvantaged persons or second chance felons.".
