Amends the Military Code of Illinois. Provides that families of Illinois National Guard members who have died while on active duty or during training shall be presented with the State flag of Illinois, appropriate for use as a burial flag, upon application of a member of the family of the deceased Illinois National Guard member. Provides that the Adjutant General or the Adjutant General's designee shall present the State flag of Illinois to the family of the deceased member of the Illinois National Guard.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Military Code of Illinois is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 28.7 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 28.7. Presentation of Illinois State Flag. Families of |
| 8 | | Illinois National Guard members who have made the ultimate |
| 9 | | sacrifice and died while on active duty or during training |
| 10 | | shall be presented with the State flag of Illinois, appropriate |
| 11 | | for use as a burial flag, upon application of a member of the |
| 12 | | family of the deceased Illinois National Guard member. The |
| 13 | | Adjutant General or the Adjutant General's designee shall |
| 14 | | present the State flag of Illinois to the family of the fallen |
| 15 | | member of the Illinois National Guard.
