Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that, on April 1 of each year beginning the year after the effective date of the amendatory Act, privately held public water utilities shall provide annual reports to the Illinois Commerce Commission with specified information for each municipality served by the utility. Provides that the utility shall certify the accuracy of the information provided in the reports. Effective immediately.

1 | | AN ACT concerning regulation.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding |
5 | | Section 5-118 as follows: |
6 | | (220 ILCS 5/5-118 new) |
7 | | Sec. 5-118. Water utility pricing reports by municipality. |
8 | | Privately held public water utilities shall provide to the |
9 | | Commission annual reports on April 1 of each year beginning the |
10 | | year after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the |
11 | | 100th General Assembly containing the following information |
12 | | for the previous calendar year: |
13 | | (1) the information included in Standard Appendix A in |
14 | | the Statement of Operating Income with Adjustments; |
15 | | (2) the actual cost of capital improvement projects |
16 | | completed during the reporting year; |
17 | | (3) planned capital improvements for each of the coming |
18 | | 5 reporting years; |
19 | | (4) usage and revenue data by customer class within the |
20 | | municipality; |
21 | | (5) any available and applicable water quality |
22 | | reports; |
23 | | (6) reports of any major water leaks; |
