SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $14,189,699 to the Department of Natural Resources from the Abandoned Mined Lands Reclamation Council Federal Trust Fund for grants and contracts to conduct research, planning, and construction to eliminate hazards created by abandoned mines, and any other expenses necessary for emergency response. Effective July 1, 2017.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $14,189,699, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of Natural Resources from the Abandoned Mined Lands Reclamation Council Federal Trust Fund for grants and contracts to conduct research, planning, and construction to eliminate hazards created by abandoned mines, and any other expenses necessary for emergency response.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2017.
