| 1 | | AN ACT to provide information on individuals with respect |
| 2 | | to whom an indicated report of child abuse or any other |
| 3 | | violations has been made and who are licensed providers through |
| 4 | | the Department of Children and Family Services.

| 5 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 6 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 7 | | Section 1. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by adding |
| 8 | | Section 9.1c as follows:

| 9 | | (225 ILCS 10/9.1c new) |
| 10 | | Sec. 9.1c. Public database of day care homes, group day |
| 11 | | care homes, and day care centers; license status. No later than |
| 12 | | July 1, 2018, the Department shall establish and maintain on |
| 13 | | its official website a searchable database, freely accessible |
| 14 | | to the public, that provides the following information on each |
| 15 | | day care home, group day care home, and day care center |
| 16 | | licensed by the Department: whether, within the past 5 years, |
| 17 | | the day care home, group day care home, or day care center has |
| 18 | | had its license revoked by or surrendered to the Department |
| 19 | | during a child abuse or neglect investigation or its |
| 20 | | application for a renewal of its license was denied by the |
| 21 | | Department, and, if so, the dates upon which the license was |
| 22 | | revoked by or surrendered to the Department or the application |
| 23 | | for a renewal of the license was denied by the Department. The |
