2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Respite Program Act is amended by changing |
5 | | Section 5 as follows: |
6 | | (320 ILCS 10/5) (from Ch. 23, par. 6205)

7 | | Sec. 5. Eligibility. The The Department may establish |
8 | | eligibility standards for
respite services taking into |
9 | | consideration the unique economic and social needs
of the |
10 | | population for whom they are to be provided. The population |
11 | | identified
for the purposes of this Act includes persons |
12 | | suffering from Alzheimer's
disease or a related disorder and |
13 | | persons who are 60 years
of age or older with
an identified |
14 | | service need. Priority shall be given in all cases to frail |
15 | | adults or adults with disabilities.
