| 4 | | 1, by replacing line 16 on page 8 through line 1 on page 9 with |

| 6 | | "(M) Except as provided in Section 231.2 of this Code, if |
| 7 | | If active employment is a condition of insurance, a provision |
| 8 | | that an insured may continue coverage during the insured's |
| 9 | | total disability by timely payment to the policyholder of that |
| 10 | | portion, if any, of the premium that would have been required |
| 11 | | from the insured had total disability not occurred. The |
| 12 | | continuation shall be on a premium paying basis for a period of |
| 13 | | 6 six months from the date on which the total disability |
| 14 | | started, but not beyond the earlier of (a) approval by the |
| 15 | | insurer of continuation of the coverage under any disability |
| 16 | | provision which the group insurance policy may contain or (b) |
| 17 | | the discontinuance of the group insurance policy."; and
