AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 109

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 109, by deleting everything after the enacting clause and inserting the following:

“ARTICLE 1

    Section 25.  “AN ACT concerning appropriations”, Public Act 99-0524, approved June 30, 2016, is amended by changing Section 5 of Article 155 as follows:

    Sec. 5.  The amount of $13,133,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the State Pensions Fund to the Office of the State Treasurer to meet its operational expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, including the administration of Unclaimed Property, the Secure Choice Savings Program Act and the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) account program.

    Section 30.  “AN ACT concerning appropriations”, Public Act 99-0524, approved June 30, 2016, is amended by changing Section 1 of Article 997 as follows:

    Sec. 1.  Appropriations in Article 174 through 214 223 are for costs incurred through December 31 of 2016.

ARTICLE 2

    Section 5.  “AN ACT concerning appropriations”, Public Act 99-0524, approved June 30, 2016, is amended by adding Sections 12, 13, and 14 to Article 147 as follows:

Sec. 12. The sum of $287,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission from the Education Assistance Fund for grant awards to students eligible for the Monetary Award Program, as provided by law, and for agency administrative and operational costs not to exceed 2 percent of the total appropriation in this Section.

Sec. 13.  The sum of $6,647,600, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission to the Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois program, as provided by law.

Sec. 16.  The sum of $485,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the Loan Repayment for Teachers Program.

    Section 10.  “AN ACT concerning appropriations”, Public Act 99-0524, approved June 30, 2016, is amended by adding Sections 27, 31, 32, 33, and 34 to Article 148 as follows:
