Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Joliet Regional Port District Act. Provides that at least one of the Governor's appointees and at least one of the County Executive of Will County's appointees to the Joliet Regional Port District Board shall be from within the corporate boundaries of the Village of Romeoville. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the engrossed bill with the following change: Provides that the President of the Village of Romeoville, with the advice and consent of the corporate authorities of the Village of Romeoville, shall appoint one additional member who resides within the Village of Romeoville for an initial term expiring June 1st of 2021 (rather than requiring at least one of the Governor's and the Will County Executive's next appointments to be from the Village of Romeoville). Effective immediately.
