Fiscal Note (Illinois State Police) | |
If HB 2409 was law, it would result in an approximate 19.2% reduction in equitable sharing proceeds due to the legislation's percentage reduction. The Illinois State Police's Fiscal Year 2016 (FY16) receipts at the current 65% sharing was approximately $2.761 million, which was based on a total of $4.247 million forfeited. If the Illinois State Police's sharing was reduced to 52.5%, receipts would have bee $2.229 million, an actual reduction of 19.2% in receipts. Therefore, if this legislation were law, our FY16 revenue would have been reduced over one-half million dollars at $532,000. |
