Sec. 25-75. Reporting prohibited conduct; investigations of prohibited conduct. (a) The Board shall establish a hotline or other method of communication that allows any person to confidentially report information about prohibited conduct to the Board. (b) The Board shall investigate all reasonable allegations of prohibited conduct and refer any allegations it deems credible to the appropriate law enforcement entity. (c) The identity of any reporting person shall remain confidential unless that person authorizes disclosure of his or her identity or until such time as the allegation of prohibited conduct is referred to law enforcement. (d) If the Board receives a complaint of prohibited conduct by an athlete, the Board shall notify the appropriate sports governing body of the athlete to review the complaint as provided by rule. (e) The Board shall adopt emergency rules to administer this Section in accordance with Section 5-45 of the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act. (f) The Board shall adopt rules governing investigations of prohibited conduct and referrals to law enforcement entities.
