Sec. 24. Subpoenas; depositions; oaths. (a) The Department has the power to subpoena documents, books, records or other materials and to bring before it any person and to take testimony either orally or by deposition, or take written interrogatories, or any combination thereof, with the same fees and mileage and in the same manner as is prescribed in civil cases in the courts of this State.
(b) The Secretary, the designated hearing officer, and any member of the Board
shall each have the power to administer oaths to witnesses at any hearing which
the Department is authorized by law to conduct, and any other oaths
required or authorized in any Act administered by the Department.
