Sec. 30. Powers and duties of the Department. Subject to the provision
of this Act, the Department may:
(a) Authorize examinations to ascertain the qualifications and fitness of an applicant |
| for licensure as a respiratory care practitioner.

(b) Pass upon the qualifications of an applicant for licensure by
endorsement.
(c) Conduct hearings on proceedings to refuse to issue, renew, or revoke a license or to
|
| suspend, place on probation, or reprimand a license issued or applied for under this Act.
|
|
(d) Formulate rules required for the administration of this Act. Notice of proposed
|
| rulemaking shall be transmitted to the Board, and the Department shall review the Board's response and any recommendations made in the response.
|
|
(e) Solicit the advice and expert knowledge of the Board on any matter relating to the
|
| administration and enforcement of this Act.
|

(g) Maintain a roster of the names and addresses of all licenses and all persons whose
|
| licenses have been suspended, revoked, or denied renewal for cause within the previous calendar year. The roster shall be available upon written request and payment of the required fee.
