(225 ILCS 15/4.5) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec. 4.5. Endorsement.
(a) Individuals who are already licensed as medical or prescribing psychologists in another state may apply for an Illinois prescribing psychologist license by endorsement from that state, or acceptance of that state's examination if they meet the requirements set forth in this Act and its rules, including proof of successful completion of the educational, testing, and experience standards. Applicants from other states may not be required to pass the examination required for licensure as a prescribing psychologist in Illinois if they meet requirements set forth in this Act and its rules, such as proof of education, testing, payment of any fees, and experience. (b) Individuals who graduated from the Department of Defense Psychopharmacology Demonstration Project may apply for an Illinois prescribing psychologist license by endorsement. Applicants from the Department of Defense Psychopharmacology Demonstration Project may not be required to pass the examination required for licensure as a prescribing psychologist in Illinois if they meet requirements set forth in this Act and its rules, such as proof of education, testing, payment of any fees, and experience. (c) Individuals applying for a prescribing psychologist license by endorsement shall be required to first obtain a clinical psychologist license under this Act.
