| 2 | | BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 3 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 4 | | respectfully request that the Illinois Community College Board |
| 5 | | reconsider the contract it holds with the GED Testing Service |
| 6 | | with regard to high school equivalency testing, evaluate the |
| 7 | | results of other companies that provide high school equivalency |
| 8 | | testing versus historic data concerning the Test of General |
| 9 | | Educational Development, and study the feasibility of other |
| 10 | | companies providing high school equivalency testing in this |
| 11 | | State or having this State implement its own high school |
| 12 | | equivalency testing by looking at how other, comparable states |
| 13 | | administer high school equivalency testing; and be it further
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 15 | | delivered to the Illinois Community College Board and the State |
| 16 | | Board of Education.
