| AN ACT concerning education.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The College and Career Success for All Students |
| 5 |
| Act is amended by adding Section 25 as follows:
|

| (105 ILCS 302/25 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 25. AP exam fee waiver program. Subject to |
| 8 |
| appropriation, the State Board of Education shall create, under |
| 9 |
| the College and Career Success for All Students program set |
| 10 |
| forth in this Act, a program in public schools where at least |
| 11 |
| 40% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches |
| 12 |
| whereby fees charged by the College Board for Advanced |
| 13 |
| Placement exams are waived by the school, but paid for by the |
| 14 |
| State, for those students who do not qualify for a fee waiver |
| 15 |
| provided by federal funds or the College Board.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 17 |
| becoming law. |
