| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4851

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4851 on page 1, |

| immediately below line 5, by inserting the following: |

| "Section 3. Definitions. As used in this Act: |
| 5 |
| "Volunteer firefighter" means a firefighter who does not |
| 6 |
| receive monetary compensation for his or her services to a fire |
| 7 |
| department or fire protection district and who does not work |
| 8 |
| for any other fire department or fire protection district for |
| 9 |
| monetary compensation."; and
|
| 10 |
| on page 2, immediately below line 17, by inserting the |
| 11 |
| following: |
| 12 |
| "Section 20. Applicability. This Act applies only to |
| 13 |
| municipalities with a population of 3,500 or less.".
