(20 ILCS 4118/10) (Section scheduled to be repealed on July 1, 2026) Sec. 10. The Renewable Energy Component Recycling Task Force. (a) The Renewable Energy Component Recycling Task Force, hereinafter referred to as the REC Recycling Task Force, is hereby established. (b) The REC Recycling Task Force shall consist of the following members: (1) The Director of the Environmental Protection | ||

(3) The Director of the Illinois Power Agency or his | ||
| ||
(4) Four members appointed by the Governor, including | ||
| ||
(5) Two members appointed by the President of the | ||

(6) Two members appointed by the Minority Leader of | ||
| ||
(7) Two members appointed by the Speaker of the House | ||
| ||
(8) Two members appointed by the Minority Leader of | ||
| ||
(c) The REC Recycling Task Force shall meet at the call of the Chair at least quarterly to fulfill its duties under this Act. At the first meeting of the REC Recycling Task Force, the Task Force shall elect from among its members a Chair and such other officers as it may choose. (d) The Environmental Protection Agency shall coordinate meetings for and provide other logistical assistance to the REC Recycling Task Force. The Agency may, upon request by the Task Force, arrange to have outside experts provide research assistance, technical support, and assistance in the preparation of reports for the REC Recycling Task Force. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the Environmental Protection Agency may use moneys from the Solid Waste Management Fund to fulfill its obligations under this Section, including any obligation it may have to arrange to have outside experts provide support and assistance to the Task Force pursuant to this subsection. (e) Members of the REC Recycling Task Force shall serve without compensation, but the Task Force may, within the limits of any funds appropriated or otherwise made available to it, reimburse its members for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their Task Force duties.(Source: P.A. 102-1025, eff. 5-27-22; 102-1129, eff. 2-10-23.) |
