HOUSE RESOLUTION

2    WHEREAS, American farmers have long formed the backbone of
3our nation's economy, providing food security, strengthening
4trade, and sustaining rural communities across the United
5States; and

6    WHEREAS, The agriculture industry, particularly soybean
7farmers, have suffered significant financial hardship as a
8result of Donald Trump's ongoing trade disputes and
9retaliatory tariffs; and

10    WHEREAS, The United States Government under Donald Trump's
11reckless directives has moved to extend a $40 billion economic
12aid package to Argentina, effectively doubling prior
13commitments, despite Argentina being a direct competitor to
14the United States in global soybean production and export; and

15    WHEREAS, Argentina has suspended its export taxes on
16soybeans following Donald Trump's tariff disruptions, an
17intentional move to drive down prices for U.S. soybeans and
18erase decades of work by American farmers to build global
19trust and trade; and

20    WHEREAS, Federal support for a foreign competitor defies
21the interests of American farmers who continue to face reduced

1prices, limited market access, and increased production costs
2at home; and

3    WHEREAS, The use of U.S. taxpayer funds to strengthen
4Argentina's agricultural industry at the expense of our own is
5a betrayal and a gross misalignment of our country's
6priorities; and

7    WHEREAS, This decision comes at a time when millions of
8American families are struggling to put food on the table, due
9to Donald Trump's actions to gut SNAP for more than 12% of all
10Americans, the very program that ensures millions of children,
11seniors, and working families can eat; and

12    WHEREAS, It is unconscionable and deeply deceitful for the
13federal government to spend billions propping up a foreign
14economy while American farmers and families here at home
15shoulder the cost, watching their tax dollars go abroad as
16grocery prices rise and family farms close; and

17    WHEREAS, America's farmers and working families must come
18before foreign bailouts to strengthen domestic production,
19ensure food access, and empower American farmers, as opposed
20to rewarding foreign competitors at the expense of our own;
21therefore, be it
