| 1 | | AN ACT concerning education.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the |
| 5 | | Historical Cost of Attendance Disclosure Act.
|
| 6 | | Section 5. Historical cost of attendance; disclosure. |
| 7 | | (a) Each public or private college or university in this |
| 8 | | State that offers baccalaureate degrees shall post its cost of |
| 9 | | attendance on its website for each of the 10 academic years |
| 10 | | immediately preceding the effective date of this Act and for |
| 11 | | every academic year thereafter. |
| 12 | | (b) The cost of attendance posted under subsection (a) |
| 13 | | shall delineate which expenses are included in the Internal |
| 14 | | Revenue Service's Form 1098-T and which expenses are not |
| 15 | | included in Form 1098-T. |
