| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to |
| 3 | | congratulate Columbia College Chicago and their retail team |
| 4 | | members for winning the 2025 National Retail Federation (NRF) |
| 5 | | Foundation University Challenge; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, The NRF Foundation University Challenge is a |
| 7 | | prestigious retail competition designed for undergraduate |
| 8 | | students across various majors; teams of undergraduate |
| 9 | | students develop and pitch innovative retail strategies to |
| 10 | | address specific retail challenges, and the winning team |
| 11 | | receives a $30,000 tuition scholarship; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Columbia College Chicago has demonstrated |
| 13 | | exceptional dedication to retail education and innovation; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Columbia College Chicago |
| 15 | | retail team include Hazel Avery, Graeme Cote, Michelle Flores, |
| 16 | | and Natilee Strey, who have all demonstrated outstanding |
| 17 | | creativity, business acumen, and teamwork; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, These students have successfully applied their |
| 19 | | classroom knowledge to real-world retail challenges, |
| 20 | | showcasing the quality of education provided by Columbia |
| 21 | | College Chicago; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, The team's victory in the 2025 NRF Foundation |

| 5 | | to Columbia College Chicago, its students, its retail |
| 6 | | education program, and the Illinois retail community; |

| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate |
| 10 | | Columbia College of Chicago and their retail team for winning |
