SAVIANO-MAUTINO.

(PETKA)

   235 ILCS 5/3-12           from Ch. 43, par. 108                             
   235 ILCS 5/7-6            from Ch. 43, par. 150                             

        Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934.  Provides  that  a  report      
   concerning the business of soliciting, selling, and shipping alcoholic      
   liquor from outside of this State directly to residents of this State,      
   which  the  Commission  is required to present to the Governor and the      
   General Assembly by April 30, 1999, shall be made annually.    Changes      
   the notice provisions  concerning  a  hearing  on  the  revocation  or      
   suspension of a license.  Effective immediately.                            
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Further amends the Liquor  Control  Act  of  1934.   Reduces  the      
   required  notice  for  a  hearing on the revocation or suspension of a      
   license from 20 to 10 days. Removes the requirement that the notice be      
   mailed  within  60  days  after  the  issuance  of  the  citation  for      
   violation.                                                                  
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 2.                                                 
          Deletes reference to:

        Further  amends  the  Liquor  Control  Act  of   1934.    Deletes      
   provisions requiring that the report be made annually.                      
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          235 ILCS 5/3-12                 from Ch. 43, par. 108                
        Further amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934.  Provides that the      
   Commission shall receive complaints from licensees,  local  officials,      
   law  enforcement  agencies,  organizations, and persons stating that a      
   licensee is in violation of the  Act.  Provides  that  the  Commission      
   shall  conduct  an investigation if it has reasonable grounds that the      
   complaint substantially alleges a violation of the Act.  Provides that      
   the Commission shall proceed  with  disciplinary  action  against  the      
   licensee if it is satisfied that the alleged violation occurred.
