Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the Secretary of State shall suspend or refuse to issue or renew the license of a motor vehicle dealer, transporter, wrecker, or rebuilder for violations of any tax administered by the Department of Revenue (currently, the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act only). Effective immediately.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Vehicle Code. Provides that the Secretary of State shall suspend or refuse to issue or renew the license of a motor vehicle dealer, transporter, wrecker, or rebuilder for violations of the corporate income tax, the Personal Property Tax Replacement Income Tax, or withholding taxes. Amends the Use Tax Act and the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act if and only if House Bill 2317 of the 98th General Assembly becomes law. Provides that provisions concerning the definition of "selling price" and "amount of sale" with respect to motor vehicles that are sold for the purposes of leasing the vehicle for a period of more than one year apply on and after January 1, 2015 (instead of July 1, 2014). Effective immediately.
