Amends the Public Corruption Profit Forfeiture Act. Provides that any person who pleads guilty to, or is found guilty of, any felony relating to, arising out of, or in connection with his or her service as an elected official of this State shall forfeit all contributions held by political committees controlled by him or her to the General Revenue Fund of the State (currently, this forfeiture applies only to convictions for extortion, receiving the proceeds of extortion, bribery, and kickbacks). Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. Public Corruption Profit Forfeiture Act is |
5 | | amended by changing Section 15 as follows: |

7 | | Sec. 15. Forfeiture of political contribution. Whenever |
8 | | any person pleads guilty to, or is found guilty of, any offense |
9 | | under subsection (a) of Section 10 of this Act, or is convicted |
10 | | of a violation of any of the following Sections of Title 18 of |
11 | | the United States Code: (i) Section 872 (extortion); (ii) |
12 | | Section 880 (receiving the proceeds of extortion); (iii) |
13 | | Section 201 (bribery); or (iv) Section 874 (kickbacks) ; or (v) |
14 | | any felony relating to, arising out of, or in connection with |
15 | | his or her service as an elected official of this State , in |
16 | | addition to any other penalty imposed by the court, all |
17 | | contributions (as defined by Section 9-1.4 of the Election |
18 | | Code) or other receipts held at the time of forfeiture by a |
19 | | political committee (as defined by Section 9-1.8 of the |
20 | | Election Code), which is controlled by that person, shall be |
21 | | paid to the State within 30 days from the date of the entry of |
22 | | the guilty plea or conviction. Payments received by the State |
23 | | pursuant to this Section shall be deposited into the General |
