SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ralph R. Dantino of Geneva, who passed
4away on February 18, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ralph Dantino was born on September 8, 1956, in
6Chicago to Michael and Serafina (Nasca) Dantino; he graduated
7from Holy Cross High School in River Grove and spent his career
8in sales in the heating and ventilation industry and was a
9partner/owner of Kast Marketing; he married Nancy on June 29,
101984; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ralph Dantino was a longtime resident of Geneva
12and believed in giving back to his community; he coached his
13children's sports teams and was a board member of the Tri-City
14Soccer Association; he and his wife, Nancy, co-chaired the St.
15Peter Catholic Church Barn Sale and were dedicated volunteers
16for that event for many years; he was a past member of the
17Geneva School Board and Geneva Plan Commission and was serving
18as alderman of the Fifth Ward to the Geneva City Council; he
19volunteered at countless community, school, and church events;
20he enjoyed sports of all kinds and attending sporting events,
21especially Chicago Bears games; he enjoyed Geneva High School
22football games, traveling, vacationing with his family,
23coaching, puzzles, sports, and back-yard cookouts; and

1    WHEREAS, Ralph Dantino was preceded in death by his mother,
2Serafina; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Ralph Dantino is survived by his wife, Nancy; his
4children, Tom (Marianna), Sara, Russell, Lindsey, and Drew; his
5grandchildren, Nicolette, Gabriella, and Salvatore; his
6father, Michael; his brother, Michael (Cathy); his sister, Lisa
7(Ray) Kind; his aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and a host
8of friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Ralph Dantino, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Ralph Dantino as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
