    AN ACT concerning finance.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The State Prompt Payment Act is amended by 
5
changing Section 3-1 as follows:

    Sec. 3-1. The
The Illinois Court of Claims shall, in its 
8
investigation of
payments due claimants, provide for interest 
9
penalties as prescribed in this
Act; however, interest 
10
penalties in claims pursuant to the Line of Duty
Compensation 
11
Act shall be paid in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 
12
24 of the Court of Claims Act.
