HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The Coal City High School football team advanced
3 to the IHSA Class 4A Football Championship game, played on
4 November 26, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, The Coal City High School Coalers were the
6 runners-up in the Class 4A championship game; this marks the
7 second time the team has played in the championship game; and
 
8     WHEREAS, The Coalers are led by head coach Lenny Onsen;
9 assistant coaches Ken W. Miller, Dan Hutchings, Greg Wills,
10 Ryan Bunton, Jim Mikula, Micheal Bennett-Tejes, and Ray Taylor;
11 and team captains Corey Mikula, Jeff Hodgen, Brock Martis, and
12 Kyle Lardi; and
 
13     WHEREAS, The senior members of the Coalers are Brock
14 Martis, Jeffrey Hodgen, Nick Arndt, Matt Blaine, Brandon
15 Howard, Corey Mikula, Kyle Lardi, Drew Vickers, Matt Watson,
16 Shawn Brooks, Matt Farcus, Luke Opyd, and Stepehen Miller; and
 
17     WHEREAS, The junior members of the team are Ben Rouse, Jack
18 Carpenter, Brian Naiden, Bernie D'Orazio, Chris Walsh, Luke
19 Turner, Nick Bonarek, Keegan Grant, Brian Popovich, Josh
20 Hinkleman, Derek Chapin, James Knobloch, and Matt Rodriguez;
21 and
 
22     WHEREAS, Sophomore members of the Coal City Coalers are
23 Zach Smith, Kevin Tuskey, Alex Watson, Chris Kaluzny, Mike
24 Bernard, Adam Kambic, Jake Tackett, Matt Trofimchuck, Wesley
25 Trammel, Nate Arndt, Jake Daniels, Tom Barra, and Drew Benson;
26 and
 
27     WHEREAS, The freshman team members are Morgan Sheridan,
28 Justin Blaine, Timm Kroeger, Bryan Bertani, Travis Peters, Joe
29 Singer, Chris Hajdu, Noah Roseland, Alan Calderon, Eric

2 Boese, Adam Boylan, and Justin Watts; therefore, be it
 
3     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
4 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
5 we the congratulate Dr. Kent Bugg, superintendent, Susan
6 Rutkowski, principal, and all the coaches and players of the
7 Coal City Coalers on their tremendous accomplishments during
8 the 2004 football season; and be it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to Coal City High School as an expression of our
11 esteem and with best wishes for continued success in the
12 future.
